North Georgia Artist Broderick Crawford was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountain town of Tiger, Georgia.  His most recent national awards  include the 2009 Colorado Habitat Stamp Competition and the Idaho Ducks Unlimited  2010/2011 competition.  Crawford Art Gallery is located in downtown Clayton, Georgia. Steve Turpin is an amazing potter and an all around great guy whose work has been featured in Foxfire.  Steve is located in Homer, Georgia and has been a potter for over 30 years.  His work is a highlight of my own little collection.
 
Rex Hogan is a incredible folk artist and one of the nicest people you could hope to meet.  He very generously allowed me to come up to visit when I had some perplexing turning issues to work out. 
 
Located in the beautiful Sautee-Nacoochee Valley near Helen, this museum explores the history and changing roles of folk pottery in North Georgia.
 
John Kissel is a personal friend of mine and an extremely talented rod builder.  John combines the best materials and over 50 years of experience in his rods.  I love using the trout rod he made for me.
 
Located at Studio 112 at 300 River Street in Greenville, South Carolina, August Vernon is an accomplished muralist and painter.  His works include 10 foot mural now housed at the Heinz History Center of Pittsburgh, PA.
